RNA directory only lists 945 N'gola Yetu and 1134 Canal 5 active as of July 2015. 1134 kHz "not heard" during Namibia DXpedition, October 2013 [Hans-Friedrich Dumrese, wwdxc]. Also see 1290 kHz.
999 MALTA R.Malta, Bizbizja (5 kW) -
Government of Malta lists Radio Malta on 93.7 FM and 999 MW as of August 2015. "Received in Western Sicily, approx 300 km away, where Radju Malta is a daytimer, and with favorable tropo conditions, one is able to check for the parallel FM frequency on 93.7 too." [Andrea Lawendel, Sep 2015]

Agência Angola Press reported a new 1290 MW transmitter July 2012. The signal was logged September 2012, off-frequency at 1289.805 kHz [Klemetz]. EMWG July 2015 lists EP do Zaire at 1298 kHz. August 2015: RNA website does not list 1290 kHz, nor 1298 kHz, only FM in Soyo (Zaire). See 945 kHz.
1323 TANZANIA Radio One, Moshi (10 kW) - Also 1440 kHz and several FM frequencies; MW active per www.radio1.co.tz.
1377 TANZANIA R.Free Africa, Mwanza (50 kW) - Reported irregular/inactive in 2013. Received by Bill Whitacre during Maine DXpedition, November 2014.
1386 GUINEA R.Rurale, Labé (50 kW) - Off-frequency at 1385.92 typ.; closed in 2005. Reportedly reactivated briefly in 2007.
Guinea Media and Telecommunications Landscape Guide report published April 2011 by "Info as Aid" lists R.Rurale de Guinée as a network of 23 low-power FM stations operated by RTG, no AM. 1386 kHz listed inactive in 2014 WRTH.

1530 MADEIRA Posto Emissor de Radiodifusão (PEF) do Funchal, Funchal (2 kW) - Reported on a limited broadcast schedule with 10 kW transmitter operating at reduced power, although 24h per EMWG July 2015, possibly open carrier during off hours. 1017 PEF Santana (1 kW) closed July 2010. RDP Antena 1 stations at 1125 and 1332 kHz were closed in 2011, the 531 kHz antenna was destroyed by a storm January 2009, and the 603 kHz antenna collapsed November 2010. RDP Madeira moved all broadcasting to FM.
1548 ST. HELENA R.St.Helena, Jamestown (1 kW) - Closed after final special DX broadcast on December 25, 2012.
1566 BENIN TWR Parakou (100 kW) - The only remaining MW station. All ORTB radio stations moved to FM.
1586 CABINDA Emissor Regional de Cabinda (5 kW) - Closed. Now 91.3 FM.
1602 ASCENSION ISLAND ZD8VR Volcano Radio, Georgetown (1 kW) - Moved to 1638 kHz in 2009 before becoming inactive. Also 98.7 FM.

530 FALKLAND ISLANDS/ISLAS MALVINAS Falkland Islands Radio Service, Port Stanley (15 kW) - The Falkland Islands government has advised that following storm damage earlier in the year, the medium wave radio service transmitted from Mount William has been repaired and is now back on air at 530 kHz, broadcasting Falkland Islands Radio Service (FIRS) and BBC World Service when FIRS is not on air [J.Brock, Falkland Islands News Network (20Oct2014)].
530 GALAPAGOS ISLANDS La Voz de Galapagos, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno (5 kW) - Reported inactive.
540 GRENADA Klassic AM, St. George's (10 kW) - "Grenada has left medium wave. In April 2014 transmission on 540 kHz was terminated and ‘Klassic AM’ was renamed ‘K105’ – broadcasting on FM 105.5 and 105.9 only." [Stig Hartvig Nielsen, World Radio TV Handbook FB group (21Nov2014)] What about Harbour Light on 1400 kHz?
550 FALKLAND ISLANDS/ISLAS MALVINAS British Forces Broadcasting Service, Bush Rincon (4 kW) - Reported silent, November 2014 by Walt Salmaniw [Goldfarb, mwmasts]. British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) has advised that the BFBS Radio 2 channel preciously transmitted on 550 kHz from the BFBS Bush Rincon site will no longer be available as the equipment is beyond economic repair [J.Brock,Falkland Islands News Network (20Oct2014)]. Now FM-only, on multiple frequencies.
555 ST. KITTS & NEVIS ZIZ Basseterre (5 kW) - The last of the 'split frequency' radio stations, Radio ZIZ has ceased broadcasting on 555 kHz. It has been "eliminated" as stated by the station itself; ZIZ is on FM only now [Stig Hartvig Nielsen, World Radio TV Handbook FB group].
580 EASTER ISLAND R.Manukena, Mataveri (1 kW) - Closed; power was reduced to 400 watts, then 250 watts before final closure in 2006.
590 DOMINICA DBS Hillsborough (10 kW) - Moved from 595 kHz in 2000; reportedly Sunday-only operation for paid broadcast of church services in 2005. Noted inactive in 2007.
600 SURINAME (DUTCH GUIANA) R.Paramaribo, Paramaribo (10 kW) - Closed; moved to FM. 600 kHz last reported in 2000, only FM confirmed active in 2002. FM stations: 89.7 Paramaribo, 92.1 Moengo, 103.5 Nieuw Nickerie.
640 GUADELOUPE Guadeloupe 1ère, Pointe-à-Pitre (40 kW) - Formerly RFO/R.Guadeloupe, the sole remaining MW radio station. Website lists several FM frequencies, does not list AM.
650 GREENLAND KNR NOV 27 0345 - Greenland is back on MW! KNR heard on 650 kHz [Jorma Mäntylä, Aihkiniemi, Finland DXpedition].
660 ST. LUCIA R.St.Lucia, Babonneau (10 kW) - Per QSL, power reduced to 3 kW in 2002. Inactive 2004.
670 SURINAME (DUTCH GUIANA) Paramaribo - First and last logged in 1996. Closed.
700 JAMAICA JBC Radio One, Montego Bay (10 kW) - Also 560, 620, 750, 850, and 1090 kHz; sold to RJR October 1997, closed in 2005.
700 ST. VINCENT NBC Kingstown (10 kW) - Moved from 705 kHz; inactive, reserved for emergency use. NBC Radio ceased regular operations on 700 kHz in 2011, but kept the transmitter operational as a backup and reactivated for disaster purposes only. Now NBC Radio no longer maintains the medium wave transmitter for disaster purposes [Stig Hartvig Nielsen, World Radio TV Handbook FB group (21Nov2014)].
720 GREENLAND KNR Simiutaq (10 kW) - Also 570 Nuuk, 650 Qeqertarsuag, 810 Upernavik, and 900 Uummannaq (5 kW); all closed February 11, 2011, replaced by FM. KNR scheduled to reactivate three MW stations in response to criticism about lack of FM reception at sea and outside towns; 720 kHz June 2015, 650 kHz October-November 2014, and 570 kHz January-March 2015. 720 JAMAICA RJR Kingston (10 kW) - Also 550, 580, and 770 kHz; leased to Nationwide News Network in 2007 which planned HD digital conversion in 2008. Shutdown March 30, 2009.

675 NORWAY NRK Røst (20 kW) - The last mainland MW station, closed end of 2012. See 1485 kHz.
702 ANDORRA R.Andorra, Andorre-la-Vieille (300 kW) - Previously 704 kHz. Closed by the government April 9, 1981.
702 MONACO (FRANCE) Monte Carlo-Fontbonne (10 kW) - Signed on October 10, 1945, at 731 kHz, increased power to 100 kW in 1949, but moved to 1466 kHz shortly after (1950?) with enforcement of the 1948 Copenhagen Plan [International World Radio Station List: 1949-1951 Edition, compiled by Bernard B. Babani, June 1949. Bernards (Publishers) Ltd., London.]. Radio Riviera began broadcasting on 702 kHz, June 1993. 702 kHz was last used by CRI until August 1, 2015. CRI decided not to renew, so the station has been dark since then. As of yet unable to determine if medium wave transmitter sites were ever actually located in Monaco. Also see 1467 kHz.
765 SWITZERLAND RSR Option Musique, Sottens (600 kW) - December 5, 2010, farewell party broadcast, then a repeating message until closed end of December 2010. The 188-m tall antenna to be dismantled August 20, 2014. [Enfelder, mwmasts] Not the last from Switzerland though; see 558 kHz.

1429 LIECHTENSTEIN R.Liechtenstein, Vaduz (2 kW) - First signed on at 209.9 meters in 1938. Now FM-only as Radio L.
1467 MONACO (FRANCE) TWR Roumoules (1000 kW) - Began broadcasting on 1466 kHz with 400 kW in 1966. Advertized as Monaco (using R.Monte Carlo facilities), but the transmitter site was in Fontebonne, and later Roumoules (Sept 15, 1974), France. The 1948 Copenhagen Plan allocated 1466 kHz (120 kW) to Monte Carlo, the only medium wave frequency assigned to Monaco at the time.
1476 AUSTRIA ORF Wien-Bisamberg (600 kW) - Closed January 1, 2009.
1485 SVALBARD NRK Longyearbyen (1 kW) - Located in this archipelago of Norway, still on the air and a good indicator of transpolar reception conditions [Mjelde, arcticdx].
1530 ICELAND AFRTS Keflavik (250 w) - Closed June 1, 2006, due to withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Iceland.
1530 VATICAN R.Vaticana, (300/150 kW) - Also 1611 kHz; closed July 1, 2012. Medium wave antennas at Santa Maria di Galeria demolished May 8, 2014. 585 kHz (5 kW) still listed as active with full broadcast schedule in EMWG, July 2015.

837 LEBANON R.Lebanon, Hamat (1000 kW) - Signed on as R.Liban November 2002. Using 10 kW backup located at Amchit in 2004. Inactive 2006. The 1948 Copenhagen Plan allocated 836 kHz (20 kW) to Beirut.
945 LEBANON Voice of Hope, Marjayoun (50 kW) - Closed May 2000.
